Rehabilitating injury and the effects of disease or disability with therapeutic exercise programs and other interventions; and
Educating and planning maintenance and support programs to prevent re-occurrence, re-injury or functional decline.

Physiotherapy is anchored in movement sciences and aims to enhance or restore function of multiple body systems. The profession is committed to health, lifestyle and quality of life. This holistic approach incorporates a broad range of physical and physiological therapeutic interventions and aids.”

Orthopaedic Physiotherapists are primarily concerned with the neuromusculoskeletal system based on the International Classification of Function, Disability and Health – WHO – ICF Model, including bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. They also assist with rehabilitation and recovery following an accident, surgery or other procedure.

CAMPT-Certified physiotherapists are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) that have completed extensive post-graduate education and have attained internationally recognized qualifications in hands-on manipulative therapy. We provide focused treatment based on research-guided techniques that speed up patient recovery while educating them about their condition to reduce the risk of relapse.

Daniel, born and raised in Saskatoon, grew up playing a variety of sports, including hockey, baseball, football, golf, and basketball. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, where he played NCAA baseball for the Newman Jets, receiving Academic All-American honors. Daniel later completed his Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2020.

With a strong focus on sports rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and post-operative care, Daniel has worked with organizations like the Saskatoon Valkyries, Baseball Sask, and the Sports Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan. He holds Sport First Responder certification and has advanced training in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Program.

Outside of physiotherapy, Daniel enjoys staying active through hockey, baseball, golf, squash, and strength training. He also values time spent at the lake with family and friends.

Mitch McInnes graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc.PT in 2005 and founded McInnes Physiotherapy in 2011. A Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) since 2012, Mitch is also a senior instructor in the Orthopaedic Division’s Continuing Education program, sharing his passion for teaching with fellow physiotherapists.

Certified in Dry Needling since 2017, Mitch integrates this technique as a successful complement to his treatment approach. His primary focus is orthopaedic physiotherapy, where he combines hands-on manual therapy with strength and conditioning to address biomechanical imbalances and guide patients toward lasting health improvements.

Outside the clinic, Mitch is an avid runner and marathoner, often seen training on trails with his dog Otis or enjoying time with his young family.
